Glenrothes Ballooning

Glenrothes Hot Air Ballooning

Glenrothes Hot Air Balloon Rides

Nestled in the heart of the Kingdom of Fife, the relatively new town of Glenrothes, borne of an amalgamation of small communities in 1948, is surrounded by natural beauty that captivates and delights – and how better to take in these views, than from the basket of a hot air balloon.

With the volcanic Lomond Hills vertically rupturing the rolling farmland region – know as the Howe of Fife – and the glistening waters of the Firth of Tay to the north, the North Sea to the east and the Firth of Forth to the south, your ballooning adventure will afford you 360 degree views that never disappoint.

Whether you’re arranging a flight for yourself or as a gift, buying a gift certificate can add a layer of security. Unfortunately a lot of balloon operators are finding things financially difficult and some do not last. However, if you’ve bought a voucher then they are exchangeable and in many instances refundable. We think they’re a really smart option.

Glenrothes and Local Attractions

Get a glimpse into Glenrothe’s history with a visit to Pitcairn House. These ruins are all that remain of a castle like house which although would have been higher than one story, actually contained particularly small rooms.

Take some time to explore Glenrothes and its wide variety of architectural styles. One thing you will notice is the lack of a high street here – that’s because of its make-up as a modern town, which has resulted in a shopping district instead. If you’re visiting in August you might catch the annual Glenrothes Gala, with its Highland Dancing competition and Scottish pipe bands amongst other events.

Surrender to the romance of it all…

Even if you’re a local, why not make the most of an unforgettable day by relaxing that evening on a romantic getaway. Let someone else do the cooking and the washing up. Instead, recline back into the afterglow of a hot air ballooning experience that sets the mood quite like nothing else…

Our favourite post ballooning idea: an intimate and charming guesthouse & a bottle or two of fine wine.
