Whether you’re arranging a flight for yourself or as a gift, buying a gift certificate can add a layer of security. Unfortunately a lot of balloon operators are finding things financially difficult and some do not last. However, if you’ve bought a voucher then they are exchangeable and in many instances refundable. We think they’re a really smart option.

Kirkcaldy and Local Attractions

There’s a rich history and strong royal connections to Kirkcaldy and it would be a shame not to investigate this side of the town if you’re visiting. The easiest place to start would be the Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery located in the town’s War Memorial Gardens; here you can learn more of the region’s industrial and natural heritage as well as admire some of Scotland’s finest paintings. A trip to the castle ruins is a lovely way to amble back down to earth from your flying adventure.

If your visit coincides with the annual Links Market held each April, you can participate in Europe’s longest street fair which dates back to 1304. Otherwise indulge in a gentle stroll to the top of Bin Hill and take in some lovely town views before descending back into town for a meander through the ancient streets.

Surrender to the romance of it all…

Even if you’re a local, why not make the most of an unforgettable day by relaxing that evening on a romantic getaway. Let someone else do the cooking and the washing up. Instead, recline back into the afterglow of a hot air ballooning experience that sets the mood quite like nothing else…

Our favourite post ballooning idea: an intimate and charming guesthouse & a bottle or two of fine wine.
