BALLOONING LAUNCH SITES NEAR CHESTER
Your voucher will provide you with a choice of multiple launch sites from surrounding regions. If you are in Chester itself, either because you live there or are visiting, you simply select a Cheshire county launch location that will suit you (see side panel). Or, you can save your voucher and use it to get you aloft anywhere in the North West! You have a massive 12 months to decide!
Thanks to Google Maps and Sat Navs these days it is very easy to find your launch location too once you have decided where you would like to depart from. Also, there is no need to worry about how you might get back to your transport once your ballooning experience finishes as regardless of which way the winds blows on your day out, you will always be returned to the launch site at the end of your ballooning adventure.
Your unforgettable balloon ride will start with a full safety briefing, after which you you can help the team with the the inflating of the balloon if you wish – or kick back, soak up the atmosphere and let others do the hard work. But when it’s time, there is no escaping the collective excitement as the burners fire up and the balloon starts to prepare itself for taking you up, up and away on a ballooning adventure over Cheshire!

The Flight
DURING YOUR CHESHIRE BALLOON RIDE
As you drift gently over the Cheshire countryside there will be ample opportunity to take photographs from your unique vantage point. During your flight you are free to discuss how the balloon works with the pilot, who will also be pointing out the many points of interest that drift below you or rest gently on the horizon.
No two flights are the same, and as such any number of towns, villages and important landmarks could come into view – all of which create talking points for years to come.
Landing
YOUR CHESTER BALLOON LANDING
After an unforgettable hour ballooning your pilot will begin your decent towards a gentle landing. Once back on the ground, and should you wish, you can help in packing away the envelope (that’s the official name for the fabric canopy).
With the balloon all packed away, you will be transferred back to your launch site where you can sip on the fine stuff and raise a toast to an unforgettable adventure hot air ballooning over Cheshire.

CHESTER AND LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Founded on the banks of the River Dee in AD79, Chester has a rich and colourful history that is evident in today’s city. First stop should of course be Chester Cathedral. Its site has housed a church for over 1,000 years. It has been the “Cathedral” since 1541. Best seen from both inside and out, discover why it’s regarded as a national treasure.
Get a feel for the city on a walk around the city walls track or take in the remnants of the Roman Amphitheatre near the river. Other sights include Chester Zoo, the Racecourse and the Grosvenor Museum. With so much on offer, perhaps you’re first stop should be a quiet drink in one of the lovely pubs and some time to reflect on your magical experience, ballooning over Cheshire!
