Thanks to Google Maps and Sat Navs these days it is very easy to find your launch location too once you have decided where you would like to depart from. Also, there is no need to worry about how you might get back to your transport once your ballooning experience finishes as regardless of which way the winds blows on your day out, you will always be returned to the launch site at the end of your ballooning adventure.

Your unforgettable balloon ride will start with a full safety briefing, after which you you can help the team with the the inflating of the balloon if you wish – or kick back, soak up the atmosphere and let others do the hard work. But when it’s time, there is no escaping the collective excitement as the burners fire up and the balloon starts to prepare itself for taking you up, up and away on a ballooning adventure over Devon!

The Flight

DURING YOUR DEVON, DORSET OR CORNWALL BALLOON RIDE

As you drift gently over the Devon, Dorset or Cornwall countryside there will be ample opportunity to take photographs from your unique vantage point. During your flight you are free to discuss how the balloon works with the pilot, who will also be pointing out the many points of interest that drift below you or rest gently on the horizon.

No two flights are the same, and as such any number of towns, villages and important landmarks could come into view – all of which create talking points for years to come.

Landing

YOUR DEVON, CORNWALL OR DORSET BALLOON LANDING

After an unforgettable hour ballooning your pilot will begin your descent towards a gentle landing. Once back on the ground, and should you wish, you can help in packing away the envelope (that’s the official name for the fabric canopy).

With the balloon all packed away, you will be transferred back to your launch site where you can sip on the fine stuff and raise a toast to the unforgettable adventure you had hot air ballooning over Devon, Cornwall or Dorset.

SOUTH BRENT AND LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

The former market town of South Brent nestles comfortably on the outskirts of the Dartmoor National Park. To while away some time here pay a visit to St Duncan’s Church, just off Wellington Square, or head to the Old Toll House on Church Street, a Grade II listed former toll house. Circa late 18th or early 19th century, it still has the board displaying the toll charges of the day.

Relax over a spot of lunch in The Oak Inn, an award winning local inn with a terrific selection of real ales, and accommodation if you’d like to stay in the pretty South Brent to take advantage of the nearby walks, trails and points of interest.
