First stop for a local insight is to head to the Braintree District Museum. Their main exhibitions guide you through the development of the area from prehistory to the modern day.

For a more focused look at the region’s textile heritage, the Warner Textile Archive at Warner’s Mill documents the manufacture and design of woven and printed fabrics produced by the company. It also shows some examples of commissioned fabrics that adorn and furnish stately homes, palaces, hotels and even cruise liners!

Your Braintree launch site will be communicated to you in good time so you know exactly where the pilot has chosen. There is a main Braintree launch site and a number of back up sites that can be used to get you aloft!

You can leave your car at the launch site as this is where your ballooning experience will finish.

Your unforgettable balloon ride will start with a full safety briefing, after which you you can help the team with the the inflating of the balloon if you wish – or kick back, soak up the atmosphere and let others do the hard work. But when it’s time, there is no escaping the collective excitement as the burners fire up and the balloon starts to prepare itself for taking you up, up and away on a ballooning adventure over Essex!

The Flight

As you drift gently over Braintree and Essex countryside there will be ample opportunity to take photographs from this unique vantage point.
